Picked up the copy of Salman Rushdie's Haroun and the Sea of Stories I'd grabbed at a thrift store.
Disappointed when I discovered highlighting throughout.
But I consoled myself by imagining that perhaps extracting each neon line would create an epic found poem.
Then I saw the notes on the first page and lost hope.
