another hillbilly badge
I just repaired my porch screen with duct tape.
Last night I, by providence, happened upon one of the ferals poked halfway through the screen hanging by the waist. He was nose to nose with one of the indoor kitties. It was a pretty incredible sight as the spot he'd poked through is about 6 feet off the ground.

"I want to be part of something incredible," she wishes.
she winds her ankles around the wires
there is a big silver moon
sitting on her shoulder
as she evokes her youth
(just yesterday, really)
knows too much for her own good

you'll never do anything useful.

on the shore of Lake Erie
asking for sunshine and breeze
asking for touch and talk
asking for mercy and grace
asking for life
we find the fourth memory
asking for touch and talk
asking for mercy and grace
asking for life
we find the fourth memory

tree rituals
a lynx has been pacing
in the front of my brain
waiting to gain entry
to my soul
eager to hunt in the darkness
in the front of my brain
waiting to gain entry
to my soul
eager to hunt in the darkness

symbols
who would guess
the meteor would
sprout an iron iris
beard dripping
with the honey
of its lover
whose eyes droop
from satisfaction
lids fluttering
from the breath
he has drawn from her

with the honey
of its lover
