footwear emergency

For better or worse, my conviction that having emergency footwear is a necessity has been strengthened.

My stress level can be measured by the number of extra pairs of shoes I have with me. (four or five is pretty high, one is low) Of course, if I didn't buy my clothes at thrift stores then they might have a longer shelf-life but that is irrelevant to this line of thinking.
